Day 17 - Tuesday 5th December
The weather during the night was awful and kept most of us up all night, and
it wasn't any better that morning either. Luckily John was in a good mood and
let us have breakfast at the Folly whilst we practised our knots and our
navigation lights with flash cards until the weather got a little better. The
tide was still rising and once again we found ourselves trapped in the Folly! We
soon wondered if this was all part of John's plan...

Once the tide allowed us to, we set sail for the Hamble. It was a pretty unpleasant sail with plenty of rain and gusting winds, we got into the river at Southampton which was a little calmer and managed to get some night sailing hours in.
